I'm not a finance company. I'm not a doctor. Heck, I'm not even an expert in personal finance or credit. I'm just a guy who felt like he could help people better understand how plastic surgery financing works.
I've had cosmetic plastic surgery myself — I had liposuction in 2003 — and I know what a positive experience it can be. But I also understand how confusing financing can be, and how one bad financial decision can hurt more than any cosmetic surgery could ever help.
Growing up, my family didn't have a lot of money, and my parents didn't devote much energy to teaching me about credit. I think it was blind luck that I didn't accidentally destroy my credit while I worked my way through school. But I did see dozens of my friends make decisions without thinking of their credit scores and pay dearly for their ignorance in the end. Now it is sort of a mission of mine to help people understand more about how credit works.
